In July 2010, the first piglets were brought to the newly constructed pig farm in the village of Svirshkivtsi, located in the Chemerovets district of the Khmelnytsky region. Today, VITAGRO Agro Holding ranks 5th among the top 50 pig farms in Ukraine according to industry ratings.

The farm currently houses 8,300 sows and more than 145,000 pigs of all ages. Notably, 90% of the animals at VITAGRO's pig farms have Danish genetics, including the Large White and Yorkshire Landrace breeds. This breeding strategy results in a two-breed hybrid combined with a Duroc terminal boar, yielding a three-breed hybrid that excels in critical performance indicators such as weight gain, feed conversion, and meat quality.

The pig farms are equipped with a fully automated housing system that maintains optimal ventilation and the required microclimate based on the animals' age. Additionally, feeding is automated, with feed stored in troughs equipped with dispensers that regulate the feed supply according to the farm's needs.

To meet its feed requirements, the Group established a feed production plant in the Horodok district of the Khmelnytsky region in 2014. One year later, in 2015, the first stage of an elevator was commissioned to ensure high-quality storage of raw materials for feed production.

The Group's strategic plans include achieving full vertical integration of production. The final phase of developing the pork business is the establishment of a meat processing plant. To implement this strategy, the Group intends to expand its breeding operations, construct new pig farms, and increase the number of sows.
