History of the company

The history of the VITAGRO Group of Companies began with the establishment of the private industrial company in 1999, which in the first stage of its activity was engaged in the trade of fuels and lubricants.

Establishment of the PE 'Industrial Company'
Establishment of the PE 'Industrial Company'
The small town of Volochysk, located in the Khmelnytsky region, is where the Industrial Company, a fuel and lubricants trading business, was founded. The company was established by 19-year-old Serhii Labaziuk, who led a small but close-knit team of employees. Their hard work and perseverance laid the groundwork for the company's future success. The first tractors and lorries were acquired through a barter system, marking the beginning of a significant new phase of development for VITAGRO.

The company provides agricultural services to farms and agricultural enterprises in the Khmelnytsky region by utilizing its existing technical facilities. In the 2000s, operating in this sector was quite risky due to low product value, high input costs, and the unpredictability of the industry. Despite these challenges, the company gradually increased its material resources, expanded its team, and attracted new customers. Most importantly, through timely and high-quality execution of tasks, the company strengthened its position, established itself on the industrial map of Ukraine, and prepared for new achievements.

In October 2004, Agrarian Company 2004 was established as a private company, with Petro Labaziuk serving as its General Director. The company began operations on a small 1,200-hectare plot in the village of Popivtsi, located in the Volochysk district of the Khmelnytsky region. Over time, Agrarian Company 2004 expanded its footprint by acquiring land in neighboring villages and eventually extending its reach into other regions. Currently, the company operates in the Khmelnytsky, Rivne, and Ternopil regions.
Dairy Farming
Dairy Farming
Dairy farming has become a key activity for VITAGRO Agro Holding. Each year, the number of cattle increases due to our own fodder production and a well-established fattening program, resulting in significantly higher milk yields. The holding operates eight highly productive farms, all equipped with milk pipelines and milking parlors. To enhance overall production, we prioritize creating comfortable living conditions for the animals and developing a diet that fulfills all the physiological needs of the cows.
Increase in the area under cultivation

In 2008, the private enterprise "Agrarian Company 2004" was merged with the private enterprise "Chemerovetska Food Company", which was engaged in land cultivation on the territory of the Ivakhnovetska and Svirshkovetska village communities of the Chemerovetska district. As a result of this merger, the area of agricultural land owned by Agrarian Company in 2004 almost doubled to 8,000 hectares.

As a result of these mergers, the total area of arable land increased to 50,000 hectares, which enabled the company to achieve a higher level of development.

In 2009, the management decided to revive horticulture in the Khmelnytsky region. The first hectares were allocated for planting in Svirshkivtsi. Today, the company's orchards cover 700 hectares, located in Svirshkivtsi and Velyki Zherebky in the Volochysk district. The orchards grow apples, pears, cherries, plums, and currants. With professional care and adherence to agro-technical requirements, the company consistently produces good harvests year after year. The fruit is successfully sold in Ukraine and exported, despite strong competition. All products are certified.

In 2010, pig breeding was established at Agrarian Company 2004 LLC with the launch of a reproducer in Svirshkivtsi. By 2011, the first pig farm was built, with a capacity to raise 20,000 animals per year. Currently, there are six breeding farms and nine fattening complexes. At any given time, the total number of pigs being raised is 100,000, and approximately 10,000 pigs are sold each month.
Seed Production
Seed Production
Founded in 2013, the seed plant in the village of Lisovody has become a significant symbol of development in the region's agricultural sector. Initially, the plant had a processing capacity of 8 to 10 tonnes per hour. It is equipped with advanced equipment from the world-renowned manufacturer Cimbria. A unique feature of the plant is its emphasis on the priority cleaning of seeds, which helps to prevent damage during heavy loads. The raw materials undergo several processing stages at the plant, including cleaning, calibrating, and sorting. Today, the plant's elevator line is designed to handle 50 tonnes of seeds per hour, and the total capacity of the elevator is 5,000 tonnes.
Sorting line

In 2014, the first phase of a refrigerator with a controlled gas environment was commissioned, featuring a storage capacity of 5,000 tonnes of fruit. Subsequently, the second phase was completed, and an additional cold store with a sorting line is currently under construction in the village of Zherebky. This new facility will have the capacity to store another 5,000 tonnes of apples. Now, the entire storage and sorting complex is the most modern of its kind, with a total capacity of 12,000 tonnes for fruits and vegetables.

The main crop processed at this facility is sunflower, with a processing capacity of 120 tonnes per day. This production operates in a waste-free manner; part of the hull is used as fuel for the boiler house, and all by-products are recycled. The oil mill is certified according to two European standards: GMP+B2 and ISCC, and it undergoes annual inspections to ensure the safety, hygiene, and quality of the finished products.
