Agroholding VITAGRO, parallel to spring field work, is actively preparing for the forage harvesting season, namely haylage and silage, which are the main feed for livestock. This season, it is planned to collect about 10,000 tons of hay and almost 35,000 tons of corn silage.
Mechanics have already conducted a technical inspection of forage harvesting equipment: rotary mowers, tractors, CLAAS JAGUAR forage harvester, German silage packing machine BUDISSA BAGGER RT 8000, vehicles for transporting haylage from the field.
They have prepared haylage facilities – trenches, as well as using polymer sleeves and mounds. Traditional storage technologies are quite efficient and simple, but polymer sleeves and mounds, as experience shows, much better preserve the nutritional value of feed and reduce their losses during storage to 1%. We use all technologies, focusing on the needs of the farm and the location of fields with crops for haylage.
High milk yields and its quality depend on feeding, living conditions, and care for animals. In VITAGRO agroholding's livestock, the feed is fed according to the diet of each group of animals: lactating cows, young stock, and heifers. Therefore, it is important for us that each stage of haylage production takes place on time and according to technology. Control is carried out over all haylage processes – from mowing plants, in the appropriate phase of vegetation, and to tamping the finished feed mass.
