Cattle manure composting project gains momentum

In agroholding VITAGRO, the manure composting season has begun. The cattle manure composting project, introduced in 2022, has "taken root" and shows potential.

For this purpose, an appropriate area has been equipped where manure is piled up from 4 dairy farms, the necessary equipment has been purchased, specialists have been involved, and for the second year in a row, we have achieved high results.

Modern manure composting technologies provide economic and agronomic benefits. In VITAGRO agroholding, we use a trailed turner TM "A.TOM" of Ukrainian production, model A.TOM 3000. This powerful model allows reducing the required number of equipment, performing several operations simultaneously, and processing a large amount of waste (up to 30,000 tons/year).

The trailed turner is attached to a JOHN DEER tractor - on average, it turns manure 6 times to ensure the compost has the appropriate structure. To accelerate the composting process, our specialists use 3 types of bacteria and vermi-humate to ultimately obtain environmentally friendly products. Such organic fertilizers improve the soil quality of VITAGRO's fields and do not harm the environment.
