New pig farm Vitagro

Supporting the food security of Ukraine is the task that the VITAGRO Group of Companies is currently performing. Pig breeding is rightfully the main direction of development, after crop production. For more than 10 years we have been providing Ukrainians with pork meat. And we do not stop increasing our capacities, because so far the shortage of pork meat is felt in Ukraine.

Every year we increase the livestock by at least 20 thousand heads. Thus, the construction of a pig farm in Bogdanovtsy is at the final stage. This reproducer is built according to modern and innovative technologies for 1300 sows, where piglets up to 30 kg will be raised. The conditions for keeping animals are implemented according to advanced European standards: ventilation system, cooling, heated floors for small piglets, this provides an appropriate microclimate that affects the health of piglets and their growth.

It is believed that Ukrainians eat a lot of meat and fat, but, unfortunately, this is a myth. In fact, we eat three times less pork meat than the average European. Thus, residents of the EU countries consume an average of 45 kg of meat per year, while we only consume 15 kg.

According to physiological norms, we should consume at least twice as much pork meat as we do now. Pork is much richer in protein than other types of meat, it also has more B vitamins, and is rich in almost all the minerals the body needs. An average serving (125 g) of pork liver contains a monthly requirement of vitamin B12. And fat, which has been repeatedly proven, contains arachidonic acid and selenium, which contribute to a better restoration of body cells. Recommended pork for breastfeeding moms because pork improves milk production. In addition, lean pork contains only 160 kcal.

The livestock of our pig farms is about 110 thousand heads, but we will not stop providing Ukrainians with such necessary food products as pork meat and we will increase the livestock. Our Ukrainian pork is not only tasty, but also healthy.
